内容简介

Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) have the potential to revolutionize human interaction by establishing a direct communication channel between the brain and external devices. Enhancing this communication bandwidth requires capturing a vast array of neural activities, necessitating a high number of recording channels. However, recording thousands of channels of intracortical signals presents significant challenges in integrated circuits (IC) design. These challenges include minimizing chip area, reducing system power consumption, and achieving high-bandwidth wireless data transmission. Additionally, as the number of recorded channels increases, it becomes possible to decode not only motor intentions but also higher cognitive functions such as language, which is unique to humans. In this talk, I will introduce our research team's latest progress in addressing the challenges in chip design and the advancements we have made in decoding Chinese language from neural signals.
